151 Housing Authority CommissiOners Mayor Brandes stated that interviews were held on September 8, 1986, to consider candidates for the vacant positions, and that it was now in order to make the appointments. It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, . that Resolution No. 86-438, appointing Steven A. Krahnke as Alternate Member on the Park and Recreation Commission, to fill the unexpired term of Jim Fields, said.term to expire February 15, 1987, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes NOES: None ABSENT: None It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that Resolution No. 86-439, appointing Bruce Fiedler and Dolores Ward as mem- bers of the Housing Authority Commission, to fill the unexpired terms of Can- dace Aderman and Yvan Albert and continuing the term for four full years, said terms to expire January 25, 1991, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes NOES: None ABSENT: None East Bay Regional Park Liaison Committee Mayor Brandes appointed Councilmember Butler as Pleasanton's City Council representative on the East Bay Regional Park Committee. He advised that Jim Fields, representing the Pleasanton Park and Recreation Commission, has also been appointed to this Committee. PUBLIC HEARINGS GP-85-g, A plication of the City of Pleasanton to adopt a new General Plan. The GeneraV Plan is a comprehensive land use and policy plan which guides the future development of the community. The plan covers a 43 square mile plan- ning area which lies generally between 1-580, Isabel Avenue, Highway 84 and Pleasanton Rid e. The proposed General Plan designates allowable land uses and densities ~or all properties within the 43 square mile planninq area and establishes goals, policies, and programs within the following elements: Land Use; Circulation; Housing; Public Safety; Public Facilities; Conservation and Open Space; Noise; and Air Quality Consider Certification of Environmental Impact Report Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 86:404) dated September 16, 1986, regarding this matter. Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on the application and the environmental impact report.
