151 <br /> Housing Authority CommissiOners <br /> Mayor Brandes stated that interviews were held on September 8, 1986, to <br /> consider candidates for the vacant positions, and that it was now in order to <br />make the appointments. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, . <br />that Resolution No. 86-438, appointing Steven A. Krahnke as Alternate Member <br />on the Park and Recreation Commission, to fill the unexpired term of Jim <br />Fields, said.term to expire February 15, 1987, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br />that Resolution No. 86-439, appointing Bruce Fiedler and Dolores Ward as mem- <br />bers of the Housing Authority Commission, to fill the unexpired terms of Can- <br />dace Aderman and Yvan Albert and continuing the term for four full years, said <br />terms to expire January 25, 1991, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />East Bay Regional Park Liaison Committee <br /> Mayor Brandes appointed Councilmember Butler as Pleasanton's City Council <br />representative on the East Bay Regional Park Committee. He advised that Jim <br />Fields, representing the Pleasanton Park and Recreation Commission, has also <br />been appointed to this Committee. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> There were no City Council Committee Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one in the audience addressed the Chair. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />GP-85-g, A plication of the City of Pleasanton to adopt a new General Plan. <br />The GeneraV Plan is a comprehensive land use and policy plan which guides the <br />future development of the community. The plan covers a 43 square mile plan- <br />ning area which lies generally between 1-580, Isabel Avenue, Highway 84 and <br />Pleasanton Rid e. The proposed General Plan designates allowable land uses <br />and densities ~or all properties within the 43 square mile planninq area and <br />establishes goals, policies, and programs within the following elements: Land <br />Use; Circulation; Housing; Public Safety; Public Facilities; Conservation and <br />Open Space; Noise; and Air Quality <br /> <br />Consider Certification of Environmental Impact Report <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 86:404) dated September 16, 1986, <br />regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on the application and the <br />environmental impact report. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lee requested that Council discuss each item individually as listed on <br />the agenda. <br /> <br /> 4 - 9-16-86 <br /> <br /> <br />
