289 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> August 11, 1987 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Vice Mayor Karin Mohr called the Special Meeting of the City Council to <br /> order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as fol- <br /> lows: Councilmembers Butler, Wilson, and Vice Mayor Mohr were present. Coun- <br /> cilmember Brandes and Mayor Mercer were absent. Mr. Walker, City Manager, and <br /> Mr. Davenport, Director of Finance, were present. <br /> <br /> Mr. Dan Bort, representing Sturgis, Ness, Brunsell & Sperry, Bond Counsel, <br /> and Ms. Kim Stansbury, representing Stone & Youngberg, were present. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> Approval of Resolutions Related to the Sale of North Pleasanton Improvement <br /> District No. 3, Series A Bonds <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report (SR 87:360) dated August 11, 1987, and the <br /> report of the Director of Finance (SR 87:376) dated August 11, 1987, regarding <br /> this matter. He advised the bid opening for the sale of the North Pleasanton <br /> Improvement District No. 3, Series A, Bonds was completed at 11:30 a.m., this <br /> date, and that Stone & Youngberg was the low bidder at an interest rate of <br /> 7.7963%. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wil- <br /> son, that Resolution No. 87:358, determining Series A assessments remaining <br /> unpaid in connection with Assessment District No. 1986-9, North Pleasanton <br /> Improvement District No. 3; Resolution No. 87-359, amending Resolution of In- <br /> tention No. 87-111 to provide for non-obligation bonds in connection with As- <br /> sessment District No. 1986-9, North Pleasanton Improvement District No. 3; <br /> Resolution No. 87-360, authorizing issuance of Series A bonds in connection <br /> with Assessment District No. 1986-9, North Pleasanton Improvement District No. <br /> 3; and Resolution No. 87-361, awarding sale of Series A Bonds in connection <br /> with Assessment District No. 1986-9, North Pleasanton Improvement District No. <br /> 3; and authorizing the City Manager and Director of Finance to execute all the <br /> appropriate documents, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Wilson, and Vice Mayor Mohr <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Brandes and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 5:35 p.m., Vice Mayor Mohr adjourned <br /> the Special Meeting, to meet again in Regular Session on August 18, 1987, 8:00 <br /> p.m., in the Pleasanton Council Chambers. <br /> <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />~'~E~ ~.
