251 <br />item 9g - PUD-87-15, Application of Prudential Insurance Company of America to <br /> rezone an approximately 12.4 acre site from PUD (Planned Unit <br /> Development)-Industrial/Commercial and Offices District to the PUD <br /> (Planned Unit Development)-High Density Residential District, lo- <br /> cated generally in the area bounded by West Las Positas Boulevard, <br /> Tassajara Creek, and the Arroyo Mocho Canal, and to amend provisions <br /> of an existing development agreement affecting this site; and accom- <br /> panying Negative Declaration. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer requested that item 14a - Letter from Richard Balocco and <br />Petition from Windmill Lane Homeowners Requesting Soundwall, be moved on the <br />agenda as item 6c. <br /> <br /> Mr. Frank Belecky, 892 Madeira, requested that item 4i - Recommendation to <br />Installation of Stop Sign on Madeira and Vintner at Intersection with Crellin, <br />be continued to the next meeting to allow the neighbors to discuss the matter <br />and make recommendations. Council concurred. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested that the Board of Supervisors be notified <br />as soon as possible regarding the approval of item 4u A Resolution request- <br />ing continued funding at existing levels for the Valley Mental Health Clinic. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, <br />be approved: <br /> <br />a.Approval of City Council Minutes for 7-21-87. Councilmember Butler ab- <br /> stained from voting on this item due to his absence from the meeting. <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 87-332, denial of the application to file a <br /> late claim on behalf of California Casualty - this is an insurance company <br /> which paid benefits due to the death of Donald Vance Baker, one of the <br /> fatalities in the Foothill Road accident on July 23, 1986; and referring <br /> this matter to the City Attorney for further handling. <br /> <br />c. Adoption of Resolution No. 87-333, denial of the claim of Gary Glasgow in <br /> the sum of $25,000, arising from a vehicle accident which occurred on May <br /> 6, 1987 involving a City of Pleasanton police vehicle; and referring this <br /> matter to the City Attorney for further handling. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 87-334, denial of the claims of Roy and Mary <br /> Harvick in the amounts of $100,000 and $50,000, arising from the alleged <br /> false arrest of Roy Harvick; and referring this matter to the City Attor- <br /> ney for further handling. <br /> <br />e. Adoption of Resolution No. 87-335, approving authorization for Alameda <br /> County to defend the City in Southern Pacific Transportation Company v. <br /> City of Pleasanton, et al, in the defense of tax valuation and tax <br /> reference matters. <br /> <br /> f. Adoption of Resolution No. 87-336, confirming the cost accounting report <br /> for the 1987 weed abatement program, as set forth in Staff Report 87:358. <br /> <br /> - 2 8-4-87 <br /> <br /> <br />
