It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wil- <br />son, that Resolution No. 87-195, appointing Councilmembers Brandes and Mohr, <br />Martin Inderbitzen, Joe Callahan, Tom Terrill, Gene Finch, Jim Fields, Shar- <br />rell Michelotti, and Jim Walker as members of the Citizens Task Force for a <br />Community Development Agency, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Appointment to Board of Directors of Public Facilities Corporation <br /> Mr. MacDonald presented his report (SR 87:201) dated May 5, 1987, regard- <br />ing this matter. Mayor Mercer recommended that William Gale be appointed to <br />the eligibility list for the vacancy on the Board of City of Pleasanton Public <br />Facilities Corporation, created by the resignation of DeWitt Wilson. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that Resolution No. 87-196, appointing William Gale as a member of the Board <br />of Directors for the City of Pleasanton Public Facilities Corporation, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Pleasanton Elementary School Site <br /> Councilmember Wilson stated he has met with Dr. Bill James, School Super- <br />intendent, regarding the Pleasanton Elementary School Site playground area but <br />nothing has been accomplished to date. Councilmember Brandes stated it was <br />his understanding that the City was not to negotiate to buy the property; it <br />is possible that the lease agreement might be enforced for the remainder of <br />its term. Mr. Walker advised that several alternatives are being considered. <br />Mayor Mercer stated that any action regarding the Pleasanton School site will <br />require Council consideration. <br /> <br />Livermore Airport <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer stated he has received a request from residents in the North <br />Pleasanton area to assist them in resolving some problems with the Livermore <br />Airport and increased air flights. He instructed the City Manager to contact <br />the City of Livermore and FAA, and schedule a meeting with the affected prop- <br />erty owners as soon as possible. <br /> <br />Mission Park Shopping Center <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated that Council has been advised by letter from <br />the Director of Planning that the shopping center site on Sunol Boulevard has <br />been granted another time extension; he would like to review this extension. <br />Mr. Swift explained that the shopping center has a new anchor tenant and would <br />like to redesign the shopping center plans around this tenant. He stated the <br />developer would like to keep the plan alive while redesigning the project. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Mayor Mercer, that the renewal of time extension for the shopping center <br />development on Sunol Boulevard be reviewed by Council. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmember Brandes and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br /> 5-5-87 <br /> <br /> <br />
