MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> May 5, 1987 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to <br />order at 8:00 p.m., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as fol- <br />lows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer were <br />present. Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. MacDonald, City Attorney, Mr. Elliott, <br />Director of Public Works and Utilities, and Mr. Swift, Director of Planning <br />and Community Development, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker requested that item 41 Appointment to Board of Directors of <br />Public Facilities Corporation, be moved to item 6b on the agenda, to allow for <br />discussion. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker requested that item 4dd Approval of Grant of Easement and <br />Maintenance Agreement for Recreational Easement from the Koll Company, be <br />removed from the agenda, at the request of staff. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker requested that an item be added under Executive Session <br />Potential Litigation, Police Officer Mark Redeker. It was moved by Council- <br />member Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that the item of Poten- <br />tial Litigation, Police Officer Mark Redeker, be added to the agenda under <br />Executive Session, because the need to take action arose after the agenda had <br />closed. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember But- <br />ler,that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 4-21-87. <br /> <br />bo Proclaim May 17-23, 1987 as Insurance Women's Week. <br /> <br />c. Proclaim May 1987 as Veterans Month and May 3-9, 1987 as Hire a Veteran <br /> Week. <br /> <br />d. Proclaim May 10-16, 1987 as Small Business Week. <br /> <br />e. Proclaim May 15, 1987 as Stayling Alive'87: Together We Will. <br /> <br />f. Proclaim June 14, 1987 as Flag Day. <br /> <br /> <br />
