113 <br /> NOES: Councilmember Mohr and Mayor Mercer <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> Announce Public Meeting and Membership Categories of Downtown Project Area <br /> Committee <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 88:12) dated January 5, 1988, regarding <br /> this matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, Mayor Mercer announced the time and location of a com- <br /> munity meeting to be held on January 19, 1988, 6:00 p.m., in the Pleasanton <br /> Council Chambers, for the purpose of forming a citizens' Project Area Commit- <br /> tee (PAC) to review the Downtown Community Development Plan. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br /> that Resolution No. 88-16, determining that a project area committee shall be <br /> formed in connection with the Downtown Redevelopment Project, consisting of <br /> one residential owner occupant, one residential tenant, three business per- <br /> sons, and three members of existing community organizations; each within the <br />OJ project area; and calling upon the residents, businesspersons and members of <br /> existing community organizations within the project area to form a representa- <br />~ tive project area committee, be adopted. <br />~'{ The roll call vote was as follows: <br />~ AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br />rlF) NOES: None <br />=C[ ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Approval of Consultant Agreement with John Nicol and Associates for the Design <br /> of Century House Landscaping Improvements, Project No. 87-21 <br /> <br /> Approval of Consultant Agreement with John Nicol and Associates for the Design <br /> of Improvements for Aquatic Center Patio and Landscaping, Project No. 85-85 <br /> Mr. Elliott presented his reports (SR 88:04 and SR 88:05, respectively), <br /> · dated January 5, 1988, regarding these two items. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that other parks in the City, such as West Las Posi- <br /> tas, need further development; he ask that the Park and Recreation Commission <br /> consider the expending of money in parks that need development. Mr. Walker <br /> advised that the Capital Improvement Program will be coming to the Council in <br /> February and this matter can be reviewed at that time. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Bran- <br /> des, that Resolution No. 88-17, approval of consultant agreement with John <br /> Nicol and Associates for the design of Century House landscaping improvements, <br /> Project No. 87-21; and authorizing execution of the agreement by the appropri- <br /> ate city officials, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Bran- <br /> des, that Resolution No. 88-18, approval of consultant agreement with John <br /> <br /> 9 - 1-5-88 <br /> <br /> <br />
