CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 88-101 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING GRANT DEED FOR STREET DEDICATION AND VACATING A RIGHT-OF-WAY ON SUNOL BOULEVARD WHEREAS, at its meeting of March 15, 1988, Council reviewed the staff report (SR 88:93) recommending the vacation of a portion of the public right-of-way along Sunol Boulevard, more particularly described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference; and WHEREAS, the excess right-of-way is not required for street or pedestrian purposes; and WHEREAS, the City is in receipt of a deed from Sunol Office Park-B to the City of Pleasanton, for purposes of a right turn pocket at Sunol Boulevard and Junipero Street; and WHEREAS, the above referenced staff report indicates that the acceptance of this deed is in the public interest; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The Grant Deed from Sunol Office Park-B to the City of Pleasanton is hereby accepted and the appropriate City officers are instructed to take whatever action necessary to implement said acceptance. Section 2: Pursuant to Chapter 4 of the Streets and HIghways Code and based upon the findings above establishing that the right-of-way is not required for street or pedestrian purposes pursuant to Section 8334 of the Streets and Highways Code, the public right-of-way described in Exhibit "A" is hereby vacated, reserving easements for storm drainage over a portion of the area to be vacated. Section 3: The Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this resolution of vacation to be recorded in the Office of the Alameda County Recorder. Section 4: That from and after the date the resolution is recorded, the street, highway, or public service easement vacated no longer constitutes a street, highway, or public service easement. Section 5: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
