117 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL MAY 16, 1989 CALL TO ORDER Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:30 p.m., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. Roush, City Attorney, Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development, Mr. Elliott, Director of Public Works and Utilities, Mr. Bocian, Assistant City Manager, and Ms. Bengtson, Director of Parks and Community Services, were present. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Mr. Walker requested that an item be added to the agenda under Public Hearings as follows: item 6g - Possible Discussion of Minor Modification to Kottinger Ranch Grading Plan Related to Grading the Vintage Hills School Site. Mr. Walker requested that the following items be removed from the agenda: item 4d - Approval of Plans and Specifications and Authorization to Call for Bids for Water and Sewer Improvements on Various City Streets, CIP No. 881031. item 12c- Approval of Plans and Specifications and Authorization to Call for Bids for Reconstruction of Spring Street, Railroad Avenue and Division Street, Project No. 87-26. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended, be approved: a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 5-2-89. b. Proclaim May 1989 as Selective Service Awareness Month. c. Adoption of Resolution No. 89-209, approving plans and specifictions for the Johnson Drive bike lane, CIP No. 875015; and authorizing staff to call for bids for this project. - 1 - 5-16-89
