MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> AUGUST 1, 1989 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the <br />City Council to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll which is <br />recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, <br />Tarver, and Mayor Mercer. Staff members present were: Mr. <br />Bocian, Assistant City Manager; Mr. Beougher, Assistant City <br />Attorney; Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and Community <br />Development; Mr. Elliott, Director of Public Works and Utilities; <br />Ms. Bengtson, Director of Parks and Community Services; and <br />Ms. Rossi, Director of Finance. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Bocian requested the following amendments be made on the <br />Agenda: <br /> <br /> Item 4o - Review of Bids and Award of Contract to Publish <br /> the City's Legal Notices - removed from the Agenda. <br /> <br /> Item 8c - Introduction of an Ordinance Amending the <br /> Pleasanton Municipal Code by Adding Thereto a New <br /> Chapter 9.28 to Title 9 (Health and Safety) <br /> Concerning Property Maintenance - continued to <br /> August 15, 1989. <br /> <br /> Item 8d - Reconsideration of Action Taken to Adopt Resolution <br /> No. 89-280, Denying PUD-85-8-4D, Application of <br /> Retail Property Development Company for a Retail <br /> Complex in Hacienda Business Park - continued to a <br /> public hearing on August 15, 1989. <br /> <br /> Mr. Bocian added that the City Council received an amendment <br />to Item 4m - Approval of Consultant Agreement with Ensco <br />Environmental Services, inc. and Berloger Geotechnical Consultants <br />for Environmental and Soils Investigation for the Senior Center <br />(Old Corporation Yard), requesting a general fund appropriation of <br />$40,000 for the project. <br /> <br /> -1- <br /> 8-1-89 <br /> <br /> <br />
