Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the <br />City Council to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> Deputy City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll which is <br />recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, <br />Tarver, and Mayor Mercer. Staff members present were: Mr. <br />Walker, City Manager; Mr. Bocian, Assistant City Manager; Mr. <br />Roush, City Attorney; Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Mr. Elliott, Director of Public Works and <br />Utilities; Ms. Bengtson, Director of Parks and Community Services; <br />Ms. Rossi, Director of Finance; Mr. Stewart, Captain of the Police <br />Department Operations Division; and Mr. van Gelder, Traffic <br />Engineer. <br /> <br /> 3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker indicated there were no amendments to the Agenda <br />other than what appeared on the Addendum: Item 16 - CLOSED <br />SESSION on Personnel Issues. <br /> <br /> · CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Mr. Butler, that <br />the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 8-1-89. <br /> <br /> b. Proclaim 9/10/89 as "Grandparents Day." <br /> <br /> c. Proclaim 10/2-6/89 as "Rideshare Week" <br /> - <br /> <br /> d. Proclaim 9/4-9/89 as "Union Label Week." <br /> <br /> e. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1428, amending Section <br /> 7.16,010 and 7.36.030 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, <br /> repealing the existing Chapter 13.08 of the Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code, "Recreation Facilities," and adopting a <br /> revised Chapter 13.08 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, <br /> to be entitled "Parks and Recreation Facilities." <br /> <br /> -1- <br /> <br /> 8-15-89 <br /> <br /> <br />
