403 <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Brandes <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> A representative of an organization which has scheduled a <br />boutique in early November requested Council to act on Item 6d, <br />due to the time required for a first and second reading of the <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />Item 6d <br />RZ-89-9, City of Pleasanton, Application to amend Section <br />18,116.010 of the Municipal Code of the City of Pleasanton to <br />allow home boutiques as a temporary use in residential districts <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 89:445) regarding the <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer declared the public hearing open on the <br />application. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mr. Mercer declared the <br />public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Mr. Butler, that <br />Ordinance No. 1434 be introduced, to be read by title only and <br />waiving further reading thereof, approving RZ-89-9, Application of <br />the City of Pleasanton to amend Section 18,116,010 of the <br />Municipal Code of the City of Pleasanton to allow home boutiques <br />as a temporary use in residential districts. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr and Tarver <br />NOES: Mayor Mercer <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Brandes <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> David Jurief, 850 Chevy Avenue, San Mateo, a representative <br />of the Postal Service, addressed the Council and requested that <br />the Council act on Item 6b, PUD-81-30-46D, the application of <br />Prudential Insurance Company of America for design review approval <br />of a post office substation. <br /> <br /> Council indicated that it could not continue to do business <br />in the dark and had to call a halt somewhere. <br /> <br /> -4- <br /> 10-17-89 <br /> <br /> <br />
