365 <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that <br />Ordinance No. 1432 be introduced, to be read by title only and <br />waiving further reading thereof, requiring that a minimum of a <br />Class "C" roof covering be required on all new construction and <br />for any reroofing requiring a building permit, which is within the <br />City but not within a Hazard Area where Class "B" protection is <br />required or in other instances where a higher classification is <br />required. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Butler <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> It was then moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Mr. Butler, <br />that Ordinance No. 1433 be introduced, to be read by title only <br />and waiving further reading thereof, requiring that all <br />residential chimneys be equipped with an Approved Spark Arrestor <br />and requiring immediate retrofitting for those residences not in <br />compliance. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Mr. Brandes inquired if Mr. Hill would work with the City <br />Attorney and come back to Council with a report on how this could <br />be implemented in a realistic manner. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer stated that the City should be able to tell <br />citizens which spark arrestors are good and asked Mr. Hill to <br />suggest four or five brands that are carried by stores in the <br />City. <br /> <br />13. REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br /> There were no reports from the City Attorney presented at <br />this meeting. <br /> <br />14. COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br /> There were no communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />15.
