273 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> SEPTEMBER 5, 1989 <br /> <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting to order <br />at 7:00 p.m., and Council adjourned to a closed session to discuss <br />real property negotiations. Mr. Mercer called the Regular Meeting <br />back to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> Deputy City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll which is <br />recorded as follows: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and <br />Mayor Mercer. Councilmember Brandes was absent. Staff members <br />present were: Mr. Walker, City Manager; Mr. Roush, City Attorney; <br />Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development; Mr. <br />Elliott, Director of Public Works and Utilities; Ms. Bengtson, <br />Director of Parks and Community Services; Mr. Smith, Director of <br />Building Inspection; and Mr. Lee, Principal Planner. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker indicated that there were no amendments to the <br />Agenda. <br /> <br />4. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Butler, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that <br />the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 8-15-89. <br /> <br /> b. Proclaim September 11-15, 1989 as "Letter Carrier <br /> Appreciation Week." <br /> <br /> c. Proclaim October 8-14, 1989 as "Fire Prevention Week." <br /> <br /> d. Proclaim October 22-29, 1989 as "Red Ribbon Week." <br /> <br /> e. Adoption of Resolution No. 89-364, establishing the <br /> specific boundaries for two permit parking zones. <br /> (SR 89:396) <br /> <br /> -1- <br /> 9-5-89 <br /> <br /> <br />
