89 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL FEBRUARY 20, 1990 1. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:30 p.m. The Student Council of the Fairlands Elementary School was present to observe the meeting. Mike O'Rourke, Student Council President, led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. 2. ROLL CALL City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor Mercer. Staff members present were: Mr. Bocian, Interim City Manager; Mr. Roush, City Attorney; Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development; and Mr. Elliott, Director of Public Works and Utilities. 3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Mr. Bocian indicated that Mr. H. E. Ackermann of Alameda County requested that Item 4n - Approval of Agreement Among the County of Alameda, the City of Pleasanton and William Currin to Permit Connection to and Use of County Service Area R-1967-1 Seweraqe Transmission Facilities, be continued to the March 6, 1990 Council meeting. Mr. Brandes requested that the consideration of Item 4y - Approval of Aqreement with Hughes/Heiss Associates for Consultant Services for Employee Performance Appraisal, be postponed until the new City Manager has had an opportunity to consider it. Mr. Mercer stated that Item 4z - Approval of Plans and Specifications and Authorization to Call for Bids for Foothill Road Interconnect, reappears on the Agenda as Item 4bb. 4. CONSENT CALENDAR Mr. Bill Monsen, civil engineer representing Mr. William Currin, stated that the agreement among Alameda County, the City of Pleasanton and Mr. Currin was discussed for almost eight months and was approved by both the Alameda County Board of Supervisors and the Pleasanton City Council in August and September 1989. He inquired why the County requested that it be continued. -1- 2-20-90
