89 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> FEBRUARY 20, 1990 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the <br />City Council to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> The Student Council of the Fairlands Elementary School was <br />present to observe the meeting. Mike O'Rourke, Student Council <br />President, led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance to the <br />Flag. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll which is recorded <br />as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and <br />Mayor Mercer. Staff members present were: Mr. Bocian, Interim <br />City Manager; Mr. Roush, City Attorney; Mr. Swift, Director of <br />Planning and Community Development; and Mr. Elliott, Director of <br />Public Works and Utilities. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Mr. Bocian indicated that Mr. H. E. Ackermann of Alameda <br />County requested that Item 4n - Approval of Agreement Among the <br />County of Alameda, the City of Pleasanton and William Currin to <br />Permit Connection to and Use of County Service Area R-1967-1 <br />Seweraqe Transmission Facilities, be continued to the March 6, <br />1990 Council meeting. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brandes requested that the consideration of Item 4y - <br />Approval of Aqreement with Hughes/Heiss Associates for Consultant <br />Services for Employee Performance Appraisal, be postponed until <br />the new City Manager has had an opportunity to consider it. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer stated that Item 4z - Approval of Plans and <br />Specifications and Authorization to Call for Bids for Foothill <br />Road Interconnect, reappears on the Agenda as Item 4bb. <br /> <br />4. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> Mr. Bill Monsen, civil engineer representing Mr. William <br />Currin, stated that the agreement among Alameda County, the City <br />of Pleasanton and Mr. Currin was discussed for almost eight months <br />and was approved by both the Alameda County Board of Supervisors <br />and the Pleasanton City Council in August and September 1989.
