Opposite Oak Creek Drive to the PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development) - Low/Rural Density Residential District (33 Acres), <br />and "A" (Agricultural) District {15 Acres) or to Any Other Zoning <br />Districts Consistent with the General Plan <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of Negative Declaration <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 90:18) regarding the <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer declared the public hearing open on the <br />application. <br /> <br /> Mr. Darryl Alexander, 205 Main Street, representing Mr. and <br />Mrs. Lemoine, stated that the applicants agree with the staff <br />report and request that Council approve the prezoning. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mr. Mercer declared the <br />public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Butler, and seconded by Mr. Brandes, that <br />Resolution No. 90-08 be adopted, based on a review of an initial <br />environmental study done for this project and on a finding that no <br />significant environmental impact would occur as outlined in the <br />City's guidelines and on a further finding that a negative <br />declaration is appropriate in connection with RZ-89-19, the <br />application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone an approximately <br />48.4 acre site located on the west side of Foothill Road, opposite <br />Oak Creek Drive to the PUD (Planned Unit Development) - Low/Rural <br />Density Residential District (33 acres), and "A" (Agricultural) <br />District (15 acres) or to any other zoning districts consistent <br />with the General Plan. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Mr. Brandes commented that, along with other properties on <br />Foothill Road, this is a very sensitive piece of property. He <br />added that he would not want it assumed that, based on the <br />Council's action on this property, any type of density would be <br />allowed in the area. He indicated that it would be appropriate <br />that the property be annexed to the City so the City can have <br />control over it and that he would support the application. <br /> <br /> -9- <br /> 1-2-90 <br /> <br /> <br />
