284 <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer inquired if an explanation would follow the <br />language suggested by Mr. Wallace, should it be added, so that in <br />the future, people would understand what that language meant. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roush replied that the Minutes would provide legislative <br />history should anyone raise the matter in the future. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that <br />Ordinance No. 1468 be introduced, to be read by title only and <br />waiving further reading thereof, approving RZ-90-5, the <br />application of the City of Pleasanton to create an overlay <br />district establishing development standards, design regulations, <br />and related matters applicable to the Foothill Road corridor and <br />to apply these regulations to properties along the western side of <br />Foothill Road, between the road and the 670 foot elevation contour <br />line generally, from Dublin Canyon Road on the north to lands of <br />the EBRPD on the south, subject to the conditions that the <br />following language suggested by Mr. Wallace, "The reviewing <br />boards, commissions and officials may approve projects which do <br />not comply with strict technical standards of this ordinance upon <br />making a finding that the design of the project as a whole is <br />consistent with the highly aesthetic, rural character of the <br />Foothill Road Corridor," be added to Section 18.78.050. <br />Procedure., and that the word "main" be deleted from <br />Section 18.78.070. Regulations for lots adjoining Foothill Road. <br />D. Main Structure Height. to read "The maximum height for a <br />structure shall be 30 feet, measured vertically ....
