CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 88-97 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR CALIFORNIA <br /> COMMUNITY CRIME RESISTANCE GRANT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton desires to undertake a certain <br /> project designated as the California Community Crime <br /> Resistance Program to be funded in part from funds made <br /> available through State General Funds as authorized by <br /> Chapter 1215 of the 1985 Statutes for the California <br /> Community Crime Resistance Program, and/or federal funds <br /> as authorized under the Justice Assistance Act of 1984, <br /> Public Law 98-473, administered by the Office of <br /> Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as <br /> OCJP); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The Chief of Police of the City of Pleasanton is <br /> authorized, on its behalf to submit an Application to <br /> OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf of the City <br /> of Pleasanton a Grant Award including any extensions or <br /> amendments thereof. <br /> <br />Section 2: The applicant agrees to provide all matching funds <br /> required for said project under the Community Crime <br /> Resistance Program and the rules and regulations of OCJP <br /> and that cash will be appropriated as required thereby. <br /> <br />Section 3: The applicant agrees that any liability arising out <br /> of the performance of this Grant Award Agreement, <br /> including civil court actions for damages, shall be the <br /> responsiblity of the grant recipient and the authorizing <br /> agency. The State of California and OCJP disclaim <br /> responsibility for any such liability. <br /> <br /> <br />
