She added that an overlay <br /> district may also be appropriate for the area. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta indicated that Staff could prepare a report <br /> defining the different options in the two zoning districts. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer pointed out that Council has reviewed the <br /> "conditional" and "allowed" uses listed in the ordinance but that <br /> Council could go through the list once again, in view of the <br /> sensitivity of the property in question, and make changes from <br /> "allowed" to "conditional" where appropriate. He then indicated <br /> that discussion on the item would be continued to a future Council <br /> meeting. <br /> <br /> 9. CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br /> Bay Vision 2020 Update <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer indicated that the convenors of Bay Vision 2020 met <br /> on April llth and discussed the importance of working within the <br /> process and listening to locally elected officials, especially from <br /> the small communities. He stated that Mayor Agnos of San Francisco <br /> emphasized that big cities should not decide what should be done <br /> with the properties of smaller cities, and that the convenors <br /> recommended that the Bay Vision 2020 Committee be composed of <br /> 60%-elected/40%-appointed members. He continued that ABAG is <br /> planning to sponsor five meetings in different counties in the Bay <br /> Area, to be attended by the convenors, as well as the Board of <br /> Supervisors and the Mayors of the bigger cities, and to which <br /> locally elected officials would be invited to provide some input to <br /> Bay Vision 2020. <br /> <br /> Sister-City Deleqation to Tulancingo, Mexico <br /> <br /> Ms. Scribner stated that Mr. Tarver and she were part of the <br /> Sister-City delegation that went to Tulancingo, Mexico. She <br /> commented that the program is valuable, particularly for the <br /> cultural exchange it fosters, and encouraged all the Councilmembers <br /> and the public to visit the City. She added that Pleasanton's gift <br /> to the hospitable, warmand friendly people of Tulancingo was about <br /> a hundred books in English, which were placed in the "Pleasanton <br /> City Shelf" of the Tulancingo Library. <br /> <br /> - 10 - <br /> 4-16-91 <br /> <br /> <br />
