CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />ABAG: Fiscal Interdependency <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver reported that he had received a resolution from <br />ABAG requesting that a declaration of fiscal interdependency be <br />adopted by the cities, counties and school districts in the Bay <br />Area. He requested Staff to review the proposal and prepare a <br />report for the next Council meeting. <br /> <br />Bay Vision 2020 <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer informed the Council that the Bay Vision 2020 <br />conveners and some of its members are planning to hold nine evening <br />meetings during September in the different counties for all elected <br />officials. <br /> <br />Arts in Public Places Committee <br /> <br /> Mr. Butler stated that the Arts in Public Places Committee has <br />received proposals from a number of firms that are interested in <br />doing an assessment and preliminary study on the Performing Arts <br />Center. He added that a subcommittee has been appointed to review <br />the proposals and present its recommendations to the Council in the <br />fall. <br /> <br />10. MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> <br /> There were none. <br /> <br />11. LEGISLATIVE UPDATE REPORTS <br /> <br /> There were none. <br /> <br />12. REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Item 12a <br />Consideration of Timeline for Reviewing the Ridgelands Committee <br />Recommendations (SR 91:259) <br /> <br /> Ms. Kay Ayala, 4515 Gatetree Circle, stated that she had been <br />a member of the Ridgelands Committee as an impartial citizen and <br />had attended a number of the meetings since January as a member of <br />the Residential Committee. She indicated that the members had been <br />told all along that the information from the various committees <br />would come together at the final meeting, at which time everything <br />would be consolidated. She stressed that the last meeting was <br />controlled by the property owners, and the general concerns of the <br />citizens of Pleasanton, such as water, sewers, and schools, were <br />not addressed. She expressed concern that the issue would not be <br /> <br /> - 9 - <br /> 7-2-91 <br /> <br /> <br />
