CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS ABAG: Fiscal Interdependency Mr. Tarver reported that he had received a resolution from ABAG requesting that a declaration of fiscal interdependency be adopted by the cities, counties and school districts in the Bay Area. He requested Staff to review the proposal and prepare a report for the next Council meeting. Bay Vision 2020 Mr. Mercer informed the Council that the Bay Vision 2020 conveners and some of its members are planning to hold nine evening meetings during September in the different counties for all elected officials. Arts in Public Places Committee Mr. Butler stated that the Arts in Public Places Committee has received proposals from a number of firms that are interested in doing an assessment and preliminary study on the Performing Arts Center. He added that a subcommittee has been appointed to review the proposals and present its recommendations to the Council in the fall. 10. MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION There were none. 11. REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER Item 12a Consideration of Timeline for Reviewing the Ridgelands Committee Recommendations (SR 91:259) Ms. Kay Ayala, 4515 Gatetree Circle, stated that she had been a member of the Ridgelands Committee as an impartial citizen and had attended a number of the meetings since January as a member of the Residential Committee. She indicated that the members had been told all along that the information from the various committees would come together at the final meeting, at which time everything would be consolidated. She stressed that the last meeting was controlled by the property owners, and the general concerns of the citizens of Pleasanton, such as water, sewers, and schools, were not addressed. She expressed concern that the issue would not be - 9 - 7-2-91
