154 <br /> <br /> Mr. Jack Bullock, 5296 Golden Road, stated that the <br /> Engineering Department informed him that the only project to be <br /> done on Hopyard Road between Black Avenue and Del Valle Parkway for <br /> this fiscal year is street surfacing. He inquired what Item 4k - <br /> Acceptance of Public Improvements, Miscellaneous Street Landscaping <br /> for Del Valle Parkway, Hopyard Road, and Valley Avenue covered. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer referred the question to Staff. <br /> <br /> Mr. Elliott explained that the public improvements referred to <br /> in Item 4k were three landscaping projects that have been <br /> constructed and completed on Valley Avenue and Del Valle Parkway, <br /> and Hopyard Road by the Zone 7 Administration Building on Parkside <br /> Drive. He added that the City is currently looking at a possible <br /> landscaping project for Hopyard Road between Del Valle Parkway and <br /> Black Avenue. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta indicated that the project is not currently <br /> included in the Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) budget but that <br /> information on the project will be presented when the CIP budget <br /> comes before the Council in order that a final decision on the <br /> implementation of that project may be made. <br /> <br /> Mr. Bullock commented that all the landscaping on the median <br /> strip on the east side of Hopyard Road was destroyed by the frost. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta stated that Staff will present a report at a future <br /> Council meeting on the City's landscaping plan throughout the <br /> community. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Ms. Scribner, that <br /> the following items on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Approve of the City Council Minutes for 4/16/91. <br /> <br /> b. Approve the monthly disbursements and investment reports <br /> for the month of March 1991 and of the claims for the <br /> month of March 1991 in the amount of $5,910,610.08. <br /> (SR 91:148) <br /> <br /> c. Proclaim the month of May as "Water Awareness Month." <br /> <br /> d.
