174 <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Scribner, Tarver and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Butler, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that <br /> Ordinance No. 1555 be introduced, to be read by title only and <br /> waiving further reading thereof, approving the development plan for <br /> 54 single-family custom homes, in addition to the existing home, <br /> located on an approximately 91 acre site, located at 8015 Foothill <br /> Road. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: Councilmembers Scribner and Tarver <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Item 6b <br /> AP-92-7 (GP-91-3/PUD-91-3) Castlewood Heiqhts <br /> Appeal of a denial of 1) a General Plan Amendment to change the <br /> Land Use Designation from General and Limited Industrial to Medium <br /> Density Residential; and 2) Planned Unit Development rezoning and <br /> development plan approval for a 52-unit, single-family detached <br /> residential project, on an 18.6 acre site located at the southeast <br /> corner of the Sunol Boulevard intersection with Interstate Highway <br /> 680 in Pleasanton. (SR92:155) <br /> <br /> Also consider certifying the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer declared the public hearing open on the <br /> application. <br /> <br /> Jack Smith, 22320 Foothill Boulevard, thanked the staff and <br /> Council for the time spent on this project. He explained that due <br /> to time limitations he was unable to work with the neighbors who <br /> would be affected by this project. Mr. Smith stated that Brad <br /> Hirst and Joe Callahan had been working on the project and with the <br /> neighbors for him. He felt this project was a good project and <br /> asked for approval. <br /> <br /> Brad Hirst, 6280 West Las Positas, explained that the project <br /> had been reduced in size from an attached project of 99 units to 37 <br /> units. He said that a lot of hard work had been put into this <br /> project by the neighbors, staff and the applicant. Mr. Hirst <br /> stated that regardless of the size of the project, three elements - <br /> noise, grading, and economics - needed to be addressed. <br /> <br /> 4/7/92 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
