He felt that it had improved but there was still more
work needed. He asked if staff could use the type of paint that
could not be painted over (graffiti resistant).

Mr. Bocian indicated that staff was currently using the anti-
graffiti paint.

Item 8b
AppOintment to Housin~ Authority

It was moved by Mr. Butler, and seconded by Ms. Mob_r, that
Resolution No. 92-75 be adopted, appointing Linda Hughes to replace
Tom Treto, term expires 1/25/94; Tom Law to replace Gloria
Bondurant, term expires 1/25/95; and Doug Dougan to a new term,
replacing Ron Smith, term expires 1/25/96, as Regular Members of
the Housing Authority.

The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Scribner, Tarver and Mayor
Mercer
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

Ms. Acosta pointed out that there would be a vacancy on the
Planning Commission because Jack Hovingh's term was expiring on
May 5, 1992. She said that the City Clerk would be advertising for
this position.

Mayor Mercer indicated that the General Plan provides for a
25% housing density bonus. It would seem that since there is a
maximum of 2,640 on the Ridge, the Plan would have the 25% built
into it. It would be therefore, logical that the City would have
to back out 25% of those units to allow a future City Council the

4/7/92 18
