Mr. Hirst explained that the agreement with the adjoining property owners was that if he built a 20 foot street, he would dedicate and pave 20 feet. If Council wanted 28 feet, the property owners would pay half of it. Shirley Lauer, 2221 Martin Avenue, asked if the 28 feet would come west of the Martin Avenue property owners. She requested that the square footage be taken off of lots 33 and 40. This would insure a full row of 20,000 square foot lots. Mr. Hirst was in agreement with that request. There being no further testimony, Mr. Mercer declared the public hearing closed. Mr. Butler asked why it was a requirement of staff to have gavel shoulders. He understood that the residents were not in favor of that. Mr. Swift answered because the storm drains were not yet complete, the gravel shoulders could be used to carry the water to the swale. It was moved by Mr. Tarver, and seconded by Mr. Butler, that Council finds that this development plan is consistent with the Stoneridge Specific Plan and General Plan and makes the PUD findings listed in the staff report.
