He indicated that there had been some
concern with condition 14 relative to an extension through a cul-
de-sac tothe adjoining property. He said that they would agree to
leave it as a cul-de-sac or extend it to the adjoining property,
whatever Council chose. This situation would be resolved at the
tentative map stage. Westview Properties was in support of the
staff recommendations and asked for approval.

Mr. Tarver askedMr. Baldacci to point out on a map which cul-
de-sac condition 14 referred to. Mr. Baldacci did so.

Mr. Butler felt that Condition 14 did not require an opening
of the cul-de-sac.

Brad Hirst, 6280 W. Las Positas #220, representing Walnut Glen
Estates, requested that the word "temporary" be added to Condition
14 because when this proposed project was built, it would provide
a permanent access to the north.

Mr. Swift said that staff had no objection to adding
"temporary" to Condition 14. Mr. Baldacci also agreed to the
change.

Mr. Cooper, 3711 Trenery Drive, supported this project. He
felt that this project preserved the integrity of the rural
atmosphere of Trenery Drive.

There being no further testimony, Mr. Mercer declared the
public hearing closed.

3/3/92
10
