(SR92:65) <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer declared the public hearing open on the <br />application. <br /> <br /> Juanira Bianchi, 4105 Walnut Drive, spoke in opposition. She <br />explained there was currently too much traffic on First Street and <br />that this use would only contribute to the problem. Ms. Bianchi <br />was also concerned with the parking. She felt that there was not <br />enough parking provided for this business. Although the mortuary <br />had a "good faith" contract with the adjacent church to use its <br />parking lot, she was concerned that the agreement could be <br />canceled. She added that it was very dangerous crossing First <br />Street and even more difficult for the elderly and handicapped. <br />She concluded that a traffic study should have been done and <br />requested further traffic studies. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer indicated that there had been several traffic <br />studies done on the First Street and Ray Street intersection and <br />that the results of the studies were available. <br /> <br />2/4/92 <br /> 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
