163 <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr believed that subsidizing a unit by a couple of <br />hundred dollars a month in the long term would be a cheaper way to <br />provide these housing units than to construct them. Ms. Mohr also <br />asked if the City was considering a Section 8 program. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift indicated that staff has reviewed different ways of <br />the using the Section 8 fund. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Mr. Tarver, that <br />Resolution No. 92-157 be adopted, based on a review of an initial <br />environmental impact study done for this project and on a finding <br />that no significant environmental impact would occur as outlined in <br />the City's .guidelines and on further finding that a negative <br />declaration is appropriate in connection with GP-92-3, City of <br />Pleasanton. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Tarver and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler and Scribner <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Mr. Tarver, that <br />Resolution No. 92-158 be adopted, approving an amendment to the <br />Housing Element of the General Plan to achieve compliance with <br />California Government Code Section 65583(a)(8) and adopt the <br />assisted housing analysis and Housing Element update provisions <br />contained in the Supplement to the Housinq Element - 3: <br />preservation of Assisted HousinG, dated 7/22/92. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Tarver and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler and Scribner <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Item 6c <br />Referral from the Zoninq Administrator <br />Determination by ~e City Council as to the conformity of the <br />water diversion and storaqe proposed by Mannie Joel/Martha Greist <br />with the open space desiqnation in the A-M Homes/Garms Ranch PUD- <br />89-13 (4440 Foothill Road) (SR92:325) <br /> <br /> This item was continued to the 8/18/92 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Item 6d <br />Selection of Proiects for 1993 Growth Manaqement <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer declared the public hearing open on the <br />application. <br /> <br />8/4/92 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
