Zoninq for the <br /> property is PUD {Planned Unit Development) - Commercial and Offices <br /> District. (SR92:279) <br /> <br /> Also consider adoption of a Negative Declaration <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer declared the public hearing open on the <br /> application. <br /> <br /> Bob Kirshman, 2020 Hurley Way, Sacramento, and Lawrence Lee, <br /> 605 Harrison Street, San Francisco, gave a presentation on this <br /> project. They agreed with all of the conditions set for this <br /> project but asked that the following amendments be adopted: 1) <br /> Chapter 12, Item E be changed from $5,000 per tree to a maximum of <br /> $25,00 for all nine trees; 2) asked that the trees between this <br /> project and the Holiday Inn be allowed to remain even though the <br /> trees were cut; and 3) and request that Item 26 be changed to read <br /> "payment would be deferred until the payments improvement were <br /> made". He explained that the work was not complete. Mr. Kirshman <br /> asked that the City review their pro-rata share of the total <br /> improvement costs. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift indicated that staff agreed to modify Condition 26 <br /> to allow a deferred improvement agreement. <br /> <br /> Loren Bengtson, 4049 Blacow Street, supported the $25,000 <br /> limit on the trees and for leaving those between Holiday Inn and <br /> this project. <br /> <br /> Robert Cordtz, 262, W. Angela, spoke in favor of this <br /> application. He asked when construction would begin on the <br /> project. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lee stated that it would be approximately 18 months. He <br /> explained that the project was not yet financed. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mr. Mercer declared the <br /> public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> Council agreed with the requests made by Mr. Kirshman. <br /> <br /> Mr. Butler and Ms. Mohr were pleased that this project would <br /> create less traffic than the Conference Center. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr referred to the Monterey Pines and asked that staff <br /> look into additional landscaping for that area. <br /> <br /> 7/7/92 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
