MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS

Mr. Tarver indicated that he was aware of residents not
receiving their absentee ballots. He asked staff to come back to
Council with an explanation for this.

9. CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS

Mayor Mercer indicated that he sent a report to each
Councilmember regarding actions taken at the last Association of
Bay Area Governments meeting. The resolution on revenue sharing
passed 93-6. He believed this was a big mistake because
Pleasanton's funds will go outside of the Valley.

Mr. Tarver indicated that due to a very long agenda, the Tri-
Valley Transportation Council never got to the issue of funds for
580/680. Mayor Mercer reminded him the money must be raised by
1994. -

11/3/92 14
