Mercer called the RegularMeeting of the City <br /> council to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />< Pleasanton Cub Scout Troop 943 led the assembly in the Pledge <br />Z of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded <br /> as follows: Councilmembers Robert E. Butler, Karin Mohr, Dorothy <br /> N. Soribner, and Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer. Staff members present <br /> were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; Steven Bocian, Assistant City <br /> Manager; Michael H. Roush, City Attorney; Brian W. Swift, Director <br /> of Planning and Community Development; Joseph Elliott, Director of <br /> Public Works and Utilities; and Bill van Gelder, Traffic Engineer. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Tarver was absent and excused. <br /> <br /> 3. AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta asked that item 4b, Approval of City Standards for <br /> Street Landscapinq Identifyinq Acceptable Maintenance <br /> ReSpOnsibility, be continued to the 11/3/92 City Council meeting. <br /> <br /> 4. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> Ms. Scribner referred to item 4e, and asked who would be <br /> paying for the lights on Foothill Road. She thought the lights <br /> would be placed in areas that were already developed. <br /> <br /> Mr. Elliott said that developers would be paying for the <br /> lights. He explained that several proposals were being presented <br /> to Council this evening concerning which type of design should be <br /> used on Foothill. This would enable staff to know how the street <br /> lights would be put in when new developments were built. <br /> <br /> 10/20/92 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
