Council reconvened at 7:34 p.m. 4. Third Ouarter 1992-93 Financial Report (SPO3:263) Ms. Rossi presented the staff report. Mr. Pico inquired and shared his concern with the following items: 1) the increase in the business licenses due to enforcement; 2) funding for Fire Station/f4; 3) Economic Uncertainties Reserve; 4) emergency funds; and 5) the reduction in Workers' Compensation Fund. In response to Mr. Pieo's questions, Ms. Rossi explained that approximately 50% of increase in the business licenses is due to enforcement. She further explained the internship program practiced throughout this year provided the increased enforcement manpower. Staff is recommending that this program be continued and expanded to include property tax auditing. Ms. Acosta explained the money that would be shifted from the City to the State as a result of the new budget. 06/29/93 3
