103 <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Pieo, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that Resolution No. 93-83, be <br />adopted, approving the agreement for underwriting services with Paine Webber, Incorporated, <br />and authorizing the City Manager to determine the districts to be refunded at the time of the <br />bond sale. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as followS: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Dennis <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Pico, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that Resolution No. 93-84, be <br />adopted, resolution of the City of Pleasanton authorizing the execution and delivery of the Joint <br />Exercise of Powers Agreement by and between the City of Pleasanton and the Housing Authority <br />of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follgwS: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Dennis <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Council recessed at 7:16 p.m. to the Joint Powers Authority (to be formed) meeting. <br /> Council reconvened at 7:34 p.m. <br /> <br />4. Third Ouarter 1992-93 Financial Report (SPO3:263) <br /> Ms. Rossi presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico inquired and shared his concern with the following items: 1) the increase in <br />the business licenses due to enforcement; 2) funding for Fire Station/f4; 3) Economic <br />Uncertainties Reserve; 4) emergency funds; and 5) the reduction in Workers' Compensation <br />Fund. <br /> <br /> In response to Mr. Pieo's questions, Ms. Rossi explained that approximately 50% of <br />increase in the business licenses is due to enforcement. She further explained the internship <br />program practiced throughout this year provided the increased enforcement manpower. Staff <br />is recommending that this program be continued and expanded to include property tax auditing. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta explained the money that would be shifted from the City to the State as a <br />result of the new budget. <br /> <br />06/29/93 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
