MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br /> Item 10a <br /> Re~ort Regardin2 Term Limit Option,~ (IR93:53) <br /> <br /> Mr. Roush presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> In response to Mr. Mohr's question, Mr. Roush explained that a person could not be <br /> prevented from running for a third term. If someone ran for a third term and won, the person <br /> again could not be prevented from being seated. <br /> <br /> There was general discussion on the term of limitation options. <br /> <br /> Jack Hovingh, 4250 Muirwood Drive, asked that Council be aware of the advantages and <br /> disadvantages on this matter. <br /> <br /> Council directed staff to draft language for an advisory measure to be placed on the <br /> November ballot. <br /> <br /> Item 10c <br /> Status Report Regarding the Mountain House New Town Project in San Juaquin County <br /> (IR93: 50) <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico suggested sending a letter to Alameda County urging it to protect the interests <br />of Pleasanton and to volunteer support in the litigation efforts, if necessary. <br /> <br /> Council did not object to Mr. Pico's suggestion and hence, staff was directed to draft a <br />letter to Alameda County. <br /> <br /> 11.
