52 <br /> <br />Step Four: The Mayor and each Councilmember selected four names from the remaining 10 <br />applicants and again there were no individuals who had been selected by the Mayor and Council. <br />Eight names remained on the list. <br /> <br />Step Five: The Mayor and each Councilmember again selected four names from the eight <br />remaining applicants. There were no individuals who had been selected by the Mayor and <br />Council. <br /> <br />Step Six: The Mayor and each Councilmember selected four names from the eight <br />remaining applicants. Shelley Lapkoff, Kristi Timmings and Brenda Weak were selected by four <br />of the five members of the Council. <br /> <br />5. MOTION TO APPROVE FOUR AT LARGE GENERAL PLAN <br />COMMITTEE MEMBERS <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Pico, and seconded by Ms. Scribner, to appoint Stardey Erickson, <br />Shelly Lapkoff, Kristi Timmings and Brenda Weak as the four at large General Plan Steering <br />Committee members. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Council agreed to send all applicants a letter encouraging them to continue their interest <br />in the General Plan review process by participating in any large committee that might be formed. <br /> <br />6. MOTION TO APPROVE THE INITIATION OF THE GENERAL PLAN STEEP. JNG <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Pico, and seconded by Ms. Scribner, to set a date and time for the <br />first meeting of the Steering Committee; the first meeting would be focused on an overview by <br />City staff of the purpose and content of a General Plan and to set regular meeting dates and <br />times; the second meeting would be to discuss options and alternatives for the process to be used <br />by the General Plan Steering Committee; and the options, suggestions and alternatives would <br />then be presented to Council and Planning Commission at a workshop to receive comments and <br />exchange ideas before proceeding. <br /> <br />05/23/93 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
