Shelley Lapkoff, Kristi Timmings and Brenda Weak were selected by four of the five members of the Council. 5. MOTION TO APPROVE FOUR AT LARGE GENERAL PLAN COMMITTEE MEMBERS It was moved by Mr. Pico, and seconded by Ms. Scribner, to appoint Stardey Erickson, Shelly Lapkoff, Kristi Timmings and Brenda Weak as the four at large General Plan Steering Committee members. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarver NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None Council agreed to send all applicants a letter encouraging them to continue their interest in the General Plan review process by participating in any large committee that might be formed. 6. MOTION TO APPROVE THE INITIATION OF THE GENERAL PLAN STEEP. JNG It was moved by Mr. Pico, and seconded by Ms. Scribner, to set a date and time for the first meeting of the Steering Committee; the first meeting would be focused on an overview by City staff of the purpose and content of a General Plan and to set regular meeting dates and times; the second meeting would be to discuss options and alternatives for the process to be used by the General Plan Steering Committee; and the options, suggestions and alternatives would then be presented to Council and Planning Commission at a workshop to receive comments and exchange ideas before proceeding. 05/23/93 2
