53 <br /> <br /> MINUTF~ OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> OCTOBER 6, 1993 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting scheduled for October 5, 1993 was continued to October 6, 1993 <br />due to an absence of a quorum. The continued meeting was called to order by Mayor Ben <br />Tarver at 6:40 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 200 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, <br />California. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> Those in attendance were: Councilmembers Dennis, Scribner, and Mayor Tarver. Staff <br />members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney, and <br />Brian Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development. <br /> <br />3. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> There were no speakers. <br /> <br />4. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1607, Approval Of Amendments to Chapter 13 of the <br />Pleasanton Munici_nal Code to allow serving Of alcoholic beverages in conjunction with sidewalk <br />dining on Main Street. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Scribner, seconded by Ms. Dennis, that Ordinance No. 1607 be <br />adopted, approving amendments to Chapter 13 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to allow <br />serving of alcoholic beverages in conjunction with sidewalk dining on Main Street. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Scribner, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmembers - Mohr and Pico <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />5. DISCUSSION REGARDING BEST OF SECONDS <br /> <br /> Council discussed the application for a conditional use permit for Best of Seconds and <br />indicated that when the application is filed, the matter should be brought directly to the City <br />Council, but with input from the Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> 10/6/93 <br /> -1- <br /> <br /> <br />
