MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> July 29, 1999 <br /> <br /> 6:30 p.m. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> Conferred with real property negotiator Deborah Acosta regarding potential <br /> purchase of the San Francisco Bemal Avenue Property and the purchase of 157 Main Street. <br /> <br /> Conferred with legal counsel regarding potential litigation against Alameda County <br /> concerning its certification of an EIR and its approval of a specific land plan and related <br /> land use entitlemeats for the San Francisco Water Department's Bemal Avenue property. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver called the Special Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:08 p.m. <br /> and led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers <br />present were Kay Ayala, Sharrell Michelotti, Tom Pico, Jr., and Mayor Ben Tarver. Staff <br />members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney; <br />Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development; Randall A. Lum, Public <br />Works Director; Wayne Rasmussen, Principal Planner; Larissa Seto, Assistant City <br />Attorney; and Dave Iremonger, Treasury Supervisor. <br /> <br />3. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Jack Hovingh, 4250 Muirwood Drive, inquired about the status of filling the vacant <br /> seat on the Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver stated that Mr. Kameny would be appointed as a regular member and <br /> the vacant alternate member position is being advertised along with all other commission <br /> vacancies. <br /> <br /> Matt Morrison, 5581-A Sonoma Drive, reported that he had obtained information <br /> from CDHS and read a letter that had been sent to Pamela Evans dated August 3, 1998. <br /> This indicated that from the 1950's to the 1980's, the Sunol Avenue treatment plant <br /> <br /> Pleasanton City Council 1 07/29/99 <br /> Special Meeting <br /> <br /> <br />
