4. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Dennis, that the following <br />actions be taken on the Consent Calendar: <br /> <br /> a. Approve City Council Minutes for August 9, 1999. <br /> <br /> b. Proclaim October 18-22, 1999 as Technology Market Place Week. <br /> <br /> c. Proclaim September 20-24, 1999 as Lawsuit Abuse Awareness Week. <br /> d. Proclaim September 14, 1999 as the 150m Wine Grape Harvest Day. <br /> <br /> e. Approve monthly disbursements in the amount of $10,973,610.16, <br /> investments report, and COPS AB 3229 expenditures report for July <br /> 1999. (SR 99:260) <br /> <br /> f. Approve the plans and specifications for the Division Street and <br /> Pleasanton Avenue sanitary sewer main replacement, Project No. <br /> 972022; review the bids received and award the contract for the subject <br /> project to Tom's Backhoe, Inc. of Byron, California for a low bid of <br /> $283,065; and authorize the City Manager to enter into the above <br /> contract.. Accept the public improvements for curb, gutter and sidewalk <br /> installation, Project No. 985003CF; authorize the City Clerk to file a <br /> Notice of Completion for the subject project; authorize final payment to <br /> J.J.R. Construction in the amount of $655.20; and authorize payment of <br /> the retention in the amount of $15,723.15 to J.J.R. Construction thirty <br /> days after filing the Notice of Completion. Approve Contract Amendment No. 1 with Parikh Consultants, Inc. in <br /> the not-to-exceed amount of $15,000 to provide additional geotechnical <br /> and material testing services for First Street Bridge at Arroyo del Valle <br /> and roadway improvements, Project No. 955029.
