MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> September 20, 1999 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor Tarver at 7:03 p.m. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Pico led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. He then <br />expressed his condolences to the Acosta family on the loss of Frank Acosta. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Thomas P. <br />Pico, Jr., and Mayor Ben Tarver. Staff members present were Steven Bocian, Assistant <br />City Manager; Michael Roush, City Attomey; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; and Randall A. Lum, Director of Public Works. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Item 4b, Authorization to increase the construction contingency for the Library <br />renovation, Project, No. 988064, was removed from the agenda by staff. <br /> <br /> Item 4c, Amendment No. 1 to Group 4 Architecture regarding the Library <br />renovation, was removed from the agenda by staff. <br /> <br /> Item 6a, AP-99-08/Z-99-135, the appeal of the Planning Commission's decision <br />approving the application of Michael and Sharleen Layer, was continued to the meeting <br />of October 5, 1999 at the request of the appellant. <br /> <br /> Ms Dennis requested that item 4g, the commission appointments, be removed <br />from the Consent Calendar for discussion.
