Nancy denBroeder, 4279 Barbara Court, thanked the City for all its work regarding the cell phone tower in McKinley Park. But after thirteen months she has learned that the tower is not going to be removed. She asked if the Council would please address this issue. Randall Lum said there have been a number of discussions with Pacific Bell regarding the issue that has not met the City's expectations. At this point the City is planning to meet with the residents in late August/September. Pacific Bell is bringing forward a proposal to construct a stealth antennae on the site. This is not what the City was looking for, but the proposal will be brought to Council in September. Ms. DenBroeder asked if it could be brought to Council sooner. Mayor Tarver said because of the Council's schedule, September was the soonest the report could be placed on an agenda. He would be glad to meet with Pacific Bell and/or write a letter. Steve Cote, 4295 Barbara Court, also had concerns about the removal of the tower. He hoped the City would stick to having the tower removed and not settle for a compromise. Ms. Acosta said there is a difficulty in that the City has an existing agreement _ with Pacific Bell. Ms. Acosta also mentioned that the library, which is closed for renovation the month of July, has a temporary location at 157 Main Street, with the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 6. Mayor Tarver declared the public hearing open. Bob McCarzick, 2925 Calle de la Mesa, mentioned he did not receive a ballot or notice of the annexation. Ms. Hirst said 17 notices were sent out 45 days in advance and the City has received back four ballots. She said Mr. McCarzick can submit his vote this evening.
