(SR99:171) <br /> <br /> This item was continued to the June 22, 1999 special City Council meeting. <br /> <br />7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti announced the status of the construction of the Elizabeth Seton <br />Church and Stoneridge Drive. She said the new roadway should be finished by the end <br />of October which would be before the opening of the church which is expected December <br />1999. <br /> <br /> She heard that Tom Gill, who serves on the West Las Positas Committee, has <br />moved from the area. She requested staff to verify this information and if tree should the <br />voting go to the alternate who lives in the area. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Ayala requested an update on the MTBE problems regarding Del <br />Valle and the gas station leak in Livermore. She requested information on the proposed <br />high-speed train traveling through Pleasanton. She mentioned books can be checked out <br />from the Library and not returned until August and encouraged everyone to check out as <br />many books as possible to help store books during the library renovation. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti said she has heard positive feedback from the community about <br />the direction the City has taken in regards to the Library. <br /> <br />8.
