CITY COUNCIL COMMITFEE REPORTS <br /> <br /> There were none. <br /> <br />.12, REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> There were none. <br /> <br />.1~, LEGISLATIVE UPDATE REPORTS <br /> <br />Item 13a <br />Legislative Status Report lncl~dinl~ SB 1448 (Library_ Assessment Districts) and ACA 34 <br />fUnfunded State Mandates) (SR94:117) <br /> <br /> Ms. Scribner asked for clarification on SB 1448, which was then briefly discussed. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarvet believed that the League' s position on ACA 34 should be that all unfunded <br />State Mandates be fully funded for all cities not just small cities. If this is correct, he believed <br />that the. City's position should be the same. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Scribner, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, to support Senate Bill 1448 <br />(Roberti) and Assembly Constitutional Amendment 34 (Pringle). <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as followS: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Item 13b <br />Pronosed Legislation AB 2673 (Cortese) regarding_ Water District Allocation of Water <br />Sunplies (SR94:118) <br /> <br /> Mr. Bocian presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver disagreed with staff recommendation. He pointed out that there was going <br />to be a debate at the next League meeting.
