MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> April 5, 1994 <br /> <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Mayor Ben C. Tarver called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br /> 7:03 p.m. <br /> <br /> Introductory Comments: <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico explained that he received a letter from a third grade student, Stephanie Halsey <br /> (sp?), who did a survey of her class regarding the ridgelands. She began her letter by stating <br /> "I like the hills with a lot of trees. Help keep our environment beautiful." She asked a yes or <br /> no question which was as follows: "Should more houses be built on Pleasanton Ridge?" The <br /> class results were 2-yes, 19-no. Mr. Pico thanked Stephanie for her letter and encouraged her <br /> to continue the good work and support. <br /> <br /> 2, ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> Sandra L. LeGate called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers <br /> Rebecca L. Dennis, Karin Mohr, Thomas P. Pico, Jr. and Mayor Ben C. Tarver. Staff <br /> members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; Steven Bocian, Assistant City Manager; <br /> Dennis Beougher, Assistant City Attorney; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and <br /> Community Development; Randall A. Lum, Director of Public Works; Dolores Bengtson, <br /> Director of Parks and Community Services; Susan Rossi, Director of Finance; and Bill van <br /> Gelder, Traffic Engineer. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Dorothy N. Scribner was absent and excused. <br /> <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> The following items were continued to the April 19, 1994 City Council meeting: <br /> <br /> Item 4n, Approval 9f V0xi0us Actions Regarding Refunding of 1987 and 1988 <br /> Certificates of Participation and Item 7a, RZ-93-7, City of Pleasanton, Application to add <br />-- Chapter 14.18 to the Pleasanton Municipal Code concerning water efficient landscape and <br /> irrigation system designs. <br /> <br /> 04/05/94 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
