Ms. Michelotti asked about the golf course configuration. When the Preferred Plan was
worked out, there were members of the committee that had golf course backgrounds. Have you
had any input on this configuration from professionals or feed back from anyone?

Mr. Grote stated they have worked from the beginning with Robert Graves, a golf course
architect based in Walnut Creek. The original concept placed the clubhouse at the top, however
the citizens committee preferred the clubhouse should be in the southern part so people who did
not have time to play 18 holes could play nine holes. Mr. Grote then went on to explain how
the golf course design had changed and why.

Bonnie Krichbaum, 303 Neal Street, spoke about the number of residential units. She
indicated she was on the General Plan housing subcommittee. The subcommittee voted for
0-500 units. She wanted Council to keep that in mind. The General Plan Assembly also came
up with a much lower number than is proposed. She was pleased San Francisco had lowered
the units to 1,900, but that is still not nearly as low as the community has asked for.

Christine Bourg, 4512 Second Street, indicated she is on the General Plan Steering
Committee and was on the Land Use subcommittee. She appreciated San Francisco sealing
down the original plan, but it is still out of compliance with the General Plan recommendations.
She had extreme concerns about traffic impacts and level of service on surrounding collector
-- streets. She was also concerned about the impact of the residents on the total build out in
Pleasanton when you consider the number of units that have been approved, but are not built.
She felt this plan was very much out of compliance with the recommendations of the General
Plan Steering Committee and she wanted to be sure the two years of work of the people who
participated in that process is reflected in this San Francisco plan.

An unidentified speaker felt the traffic surveys should be taken at fair time. She has been
in an accident in that area, believed people who attend the fair do not know the area and was
concerned there would be more accidents on Bernal and Valley Avenues.

Brian Bourg, 4512 Second Street, was also concerned about traffic in the morning on
Bemal Avenue on the way to the freeway. He feels there are too many homes, too much traffic,
and too much congestion. The fairgrounds are not just used at fair times. There are other
events most weekends and he was very concerned about traffic. He wanted less housing.

Mr. Tarver asked if the traffic signal at Bernal and Valley had been adjusted in the last
year?

Mr. Swift indicated he would look into that.

Mike Ph'ozzoli, 5925 Via Del Cielo, hoped that when this project is developed, the whole
-- Tri-Valley impacts will be considered. There is development coming in Dublin, San Ramon and
South Livermore and 680 will be a mess.

12/04/95 -8-
