The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Michelotti, Mohr, and Mayor Tarver
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Pico
ABSTAIN: None

Item To
~;tatus reOort reaardin~, remainina stens for the General Plan UOdate. (IR95:46)

Jerry Iserson presented the staff report.

Ms. Mohr referred to the staff report which indicated it would cost an additional $30,000
to save two months. She asked why this had to be rushed and indicated her reluctance to spend
the money.

Mayor Tarvet indicated he wanted the project completed before the next election.

It was moved by Mayor Tarver to approve the time schedule and authorize spending
$30,000. The motion died for lack of a second.

Ms. Dennis was also concerned about the cost and speeding up the process. She was
concerned that rushing the matter may not allow enough public input.

It was agreed that the current time schedule will be retained.

Item 7c.
On-going discussion regarding San Francisco property,

This item was discussed earlier in the agenda.

Ms. Michelotti indicated she had received several calls regarding Rod's Hickory Pit and
asked what the City controls and when will it review the project.

Mr. Iserson indicated the Safeway application for remodeling the shopping center will
be before the Planning Commission at its next meeting. All comments regarding Rod's have
been forwarded to Safeway and a letter addressing the issues will be in the staff report. This
is really a landlord/tenant problem and staff is trying to be sure it is handled fairly. There is
not much more the City can do.

Ms. Michelotti asked if there was a problem in relocating the restaurant.

08/15/95 -17-
