MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> June 27, 1995 <br /> <br />1, CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Ben Tarver called the Special Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr stated that on Saturday, July 1 at 10:30 a.m., there will be a car parade from <br />Stanley Business Park to the Senior Center to celebrate the end of the use of First Street by the <br />quarry trucks. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico stated that Thurman Caudill died last weekend and that there would be a <br />memotiff service on June 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Wayside Park. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> Assistant City Clerk Susan A. Maas called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Present were Mayor Ben Tarvet and Councilmembers Becky Dennis, Shareell Michelotti, Karin <br />Mohr, and Thomas P. Pico, Jr. Staff members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; <br />Michael H. Roush, City Attorney; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and Community <br />Development; Randall A. Lure, Director of Public Works; and Bill Van Geltier, Traffic <br />Engineer. <br /> <br />3. DISCUSSION REGARDING MIRADOR DRIVE <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver suggested that the Chair of the Circulation Subcommittee (of the General <br />Plan Steering Committee), the Chair of the General Plan Steering Committee and staff give their <br />reports; for Council to ask questions; and then to have public comment. He then stated that he <br />felt there were two recommendations or alternatives, one being the Circulation Subcommittee's <br />recommendation to open Mirador with no restrictions and the Steering Committee's <br />recommendation to open Mirador with restrictions, i.e., no left turns. <br /> <br /> Margot Kelly presented the Circulation Subcommittee report. <br /> <br /> Christine Bourg presented the Steering Committee report. <br /> <br /> 06/27/95 -1- <br /> <br /> <br />
