7. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> There were no public hearings on the agenda. <br /> <br />8. MATTER INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Item 8a <br />Appointments to Economic Development Advisory Committee (SR 95:33) <br /> <br /> Council discussed the remaining openings in several categories on the Committee, <br />including the environmental community. Staff indicated advertisements will be placed for the <br />vacancies. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver urged appointment of another citizen at large. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis requested the qualifications for the representative from the environmental <br />community to be redrafted to not require membership in a group with an office in Pleasanton <br />or in a particular entity. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to adopt Resolution No. <br />95-09, appointing the following persons to the Economic Development Advisory Committee: <br />Alice Waterman (Stoneridge Mall), Linda Lammers (Pleasanton Convention & Visitors Bureau, <br />Clark Gunson (Education Community), and Brad Hirst (Commercial Real Estate). <br /> <br />The roll call vote was aS follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Michelotti, Pico, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Mohr <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> After discussion about membership on the Committee, it was determined that an agenda <br />item will be placed on a future agenda after the Committee itself has considered the matter. <br /> <br />Item 8b <br />Reorganization of Art in Public Places Committee (SR 95:31) <br /> <br /> Steven Bocian presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Dennis, seconded by Mr. Pico, to adopt Resolution No. 95-10, <br />modifying the membership makeup of the Arts in Public Places Committee by substituting a <br /> <br />01/17/95 <br /> -8- <br /> <br /> <br />
