It was moved by Ms. Dennis, seconded by Mr. Pico, that a footnote be added to the
timeline that explains that the CalTrans study will be submitted at the point when it is clear
an initiative will not go forward.

The roll C~I vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Mohr, Pico, and Mayor Tarvet
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Michelotti
ABSTAIN: None

Item 5c
Transportation Priorities including West Dublin/P!easanton BART station, 1-580/680 Direct
Connector Flyover. and Highway 84. (SR96:287)

Randall Lum presented the staff report, which covered items 5c, d and e.

Ms. Michelotti referred to the deadline for payment of the local match funds and the
payment schedule for reimbursement from regional fees. TVTC has already committed the first
regional fees to a fund for this project. At the time the payment becomes due, any money that
is in the regional pool will be deducted and the prorations will be done again. It may not be
necessary for Pleasanton to pay all of the cost of the project.

Mr. Lum indicated the hope that TVTC will get the fee in place and generates the fees
quickly enough that Pleasanton does not have to pay anything.

Matt Sullivan asked if approval of funds from Pleasanton would be based on keeping the
Stoneridge off ramp for any fiyovers from eastbound or westbound 580 to southbound 680, or
has that been addressed?

Mr. Lum said that was not a condition for the funding, but was a condition of the
freeway agreement that CalTrans was requesting the City to approve. That would remain an
open question for the future. CalTrans believes there is not enough room for a flyover from 580
to come down quickly enough onto 680 to allow access to Stoneridge Drive.
