The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Michelotti, Mohr, Pico, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Task Force <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis felt there is concern in the community about air quality and was not sure we <br />should delete this. Environmental Impact Reports always indicate there is an impact on air <br />quality and nothing ever gets done. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr indicated we used to have an Environmental Monitoring Task Force and it <br />ceased to exist because there was not enough for the Task Force to do. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti pointed out that staff is getting reports from the Bay Area Air Quality <br />Management District, which monitors this regularly. She felt that was sufficient. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver agreed the information has been provided, however, he was not certain the <br />information was used as well as it could have been. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta indicated the question is really whether a committee should be created that <br />requires staff support, minutes, etc. or is Council really concerned about getting the best <br />information on air quality. That can be done in a variety of ways besides a separate committee. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Mohr, to adopt the Planning <br />Commition recommendation to delete Program 8.4 on page IX-12, which reads as follows: <br />"Create a task force to advise the City Council regarding compliance with air quality <br />standards, new technologies for air quality control, and concepts of improving air quality." <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Michelotti, Mohr, Pico, and Mayor Tarvet <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />X.
