She did not feel Waffle destined for Livermore could be discouraged, but she felt truck traffic could be restricted. Mr. Pico felt all options had not been explored with regard to discouraging non-local traffic through the neighborhoods. That includes more than signs and did not feel the wording goes far enough. Ms. Michelotti withdrew her suggestion. It was moved by Mayor Tarver, seconded by Mr. Pico, to modify the recommendation of the Steering Committee as to Program 3.2 on Page III-12, to read as follows: "Discourage non-local and commercial traffic from using streets through residential areas."
