All the information discussed here will <br />be developed as part of that future study. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti agreed to support the motion because she did not feel the General Plan <br />needed to have provision for a committee, but at the time this issue comes forward, there should <br />be a committee formed to review the project. <br /> <br />Th~ rOll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Michelotti, and Mohr <br />NOES: Councilmember Pico and Mayor Tarvet <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Non-local and Commercial Traffic <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti suggested the wording be changed to add "prohibitive signs to discourage <br />commercial truck traffic through local residential streets". She did not feel Waffle destined for <br />Livermore could be discouraged, but she felt truck traffic could be restricted. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico felt all options had not been explored with regard to discouraging non-local <br />traffic through the neighborhoods. That includes more than signs and did not feel the wording <br />goes far enough. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti withdrew her suggestion. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mayor Tarver, seconded by Mr. Pico, to modify the <br />recommendation of the Steering Committee as to Program 3.2 on Page III-12, to read as <br />follows: "Discourage non-local and commercial traffic from using streets through <br />residential areas." <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Michelotti, Mohr, Pico, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Street Closure Notifications <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mayor Tarvet, seconded by Ms. Michelotti, to approve the <br />Phnnlng Commission recommendation to modify Program 4.4 on page lII-13, to read as <br />follows: "Notify all residents and properly owners who may be directly affected by <br />potential street closures and traffic re-routing in advance of taking such actions." <br /> <br />07/02/96 -33- <br /> <br /> <br />
