AOENDA AMENDMENTS

Ms. Acosta reminded everyone that fireworks are illegal in Pleasanton. She reminded
Council that Items 4q and 4r had been added. In addition, staff is suggesting that Council take
action on the Consent Calendar, continue the remaining items on the agenda, and proceed to
complete consideration of the General Plan update recommendations. In the event all the
recommendations are not reviewed, the items will continue to July 9, 1996. It is the goal to
complete this review prior to July 15. In addition, the Mayor has requested adding an item to
the July 9 agenda regarding direction to the LAVWMA representatives.

There was discussion about whether public testimony would be taken regarding the
General Plan recommendations this evening. The intent is to continue to get Council's straw
votes on the various recommendations, so staff can present a final General Plan for adoption on
luly 15. The community can comment at that time.

Mayor Tarvet requested that item 4k, the award of bids for legal publications, be
continued to the next meeting on July 9. He also wanted to discuss how Council would fill a
vacancy on the Council that may occur in the November election.

Staff will bring back a separate item on that topic.

Ms. Michelotti referred to item 4f, the selection of a permanent name for a park on
Martin Avenue, and indicated she liked the name "Diablo View". Sh was in support, however,
of the recommended name.

4, CONSENT CALENDAR

It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Ms. Dennis, that the following actions
be taken on the Consent Calendar:

a.
