(SR96:118) <br /> <br /> Chris Sherwood presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver indicated how extremely impressed he is with the quality of the applicants. <br />He would like to expand the membership on the commission to get more participation. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr felt it would be helpful to have two adults if the number of students is <br />increased. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver believed the adult participant should be in the background and have minimal <br />participation. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr asked what if the one adult can't make the meeting? It is a lot of pressure on <br />one adult to attend every meeting. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver said an alternate adult might be a good idea. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr felt that would accomplish what she was looking for. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti indicated the alternate adult could attend the meetings as alternates on <br />other commissions do. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver indicated he would like to appoint eleven youth members with two alternates <br />and one adult and one adult alternate. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti inquired about the two alternate youth positions. Would those positions <br />be filled when vacated? <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver indicated the 12th graders would only be there over the summer and would <br /> then move on.
