_-- MINUTES <br />..- OF <br /> THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> March 5, 1996 <br /> <br /> CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> A Closed Session was held at 6:00 p.m. to confer with legal counsel regarding existing <br /> litigation (Planning and Conservation League v. Central Coast Water Authority) and potential <br /> litigation against the Berrenda Mesa Water District (EIR concerning transfer of water <br /> entitlemerits). <br /> <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Ben Tarvet called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Thomas P. Pico, Jr. led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. He <br /> then introduced Boy Scout Troop 948 and its leader, Larry Annis. Mr. Pico commented on the <br /> rich cultural diversity of Pl~._~_nton and related the various organizations he has encountered in <br /> Pleasanton. He mentioned the proclamation on the Consent Calendar declaring "Portuguese <br /> Immigrant Week". <br /> <br /> 2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmembers present were Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Karin Mohr, Thomas P. Pico, <br /> It. and Mayor Ben Tarver. Staff members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; <br /> Michael H. Roush, City Attorney; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and Community <br /> Development; Randall A.
